The Sun Salutation (Surya = Sun, Namaskara = Greeting or Salutation) is the traditional start to many yoga practices. In Ashtanga Yoga it is the place to begin merging deep breathing and movement. In order to stretch properly we must first create warmth and heat in our muscles. Sun Salutations A & B are the first steps to understanding how Cardio Yoga flows. If you chose to try either exercise at home it is at your own risk. All exercise programs should start with a doctor consultation and guidance from a fitness professional.
